Iran .. Persia

We need to wipe them off the face of the earth soon. I for one don't believe the proganda of these missile they are claiming to have. I seriouly doubt they have what they claim to have. I think they are blowing smoke out their asses.

Bort 04-03-06 11:25 PM

Before we go around wiping them off the face of the earth, lets let the IAEA and Security Council do their thing, I don't think we can afford another go-it-alone war. I'd also like to be out of Iraq before Bush starts some other crazy adventure. Also, remember that Iran is a much larger country than Iraq is in every way, population, military and physical size. We should only go in if most or all of the major players (Russia, China, UK, France, Germany-you know the bunch) are on board. And only if all other choices are exausted.

Kapitan 04-04-06 01:33 AM

As fox said the major players need to be on one side here.

Its not going to happen china and russia wont aid america (russia not 100%).

If iran has nuclear weapons do you think they will just sit there making them look like ornaments?

Britian cant streach the millatery to go to war in iran, were struggling now, france hasnt got the money in its millatery to send any ship or plane of real use, germany what little it has wont send any millatery forget a good 90% of europe whats left, america italy and russia.

Russia as i said wont help and italy well id doubt it that country follow suite to europe.

micky1up 04-04-06 03:45 AM

since when have france and germany been part of the responsible bunch

Kapitan 04-04-06 05:01 AM

Isn't it just a little odd that you can advocate genocide on this board, but at the same time can't use profanity? :hmm:

Doesn't surprise me anymore. Still very odd indeed.

I hope that moose1am was just using way too much bravado about the subject, in the way that after September 11th people went around saying that what ever country hit the US should be turned into a parking lot. But if he is serious, that sort of talk should not be tolerated. Have all the beef you want with the nutjob in charge of Iran and his fellow nutjobs, but leave the innocent people of Iran out of it.

There is no innocence; there are only different degrees of guilt!

Seriously, though, the main issue is that it is not in our best interests to let them have certain weapons. If we have good reasons to believe they are planning to make those weapons, and use them against us (perhaps through unofficial, terrorist groups), any required action to stop that would be OK for me. Or, to clarify, if there's going to be a mass murder anyway, I'd prefer casualties there over casualties here. In practice, however, exterminating the whole country shouldn't be required.

Is annihilating one country of religious nutjobs really that bad in the whole cosmic scheme of things?

…I’m just saying…
