This is a workshop

I have watched with interest, this forum, but I have not found, many persons available, for a modest help me to work with devlop.
...a true sin.

This is a workshop, without collaboration with better.

someone has forgotten the sense of WORKSHOP, it does not want to say exposure of MOD, but collaboration for work fine, and in order to obtain the best.

bye, bye...

But seriously, what is this all about? Apparently, this is the first time this guy has ever even posted here. :-?

Yep, and he have been watching us with int. :hmm: :rotfl:

SubSerpent 04-02-06 08:48 AM

He needs help making a sin? :hmm:

The only help he probably needs is for someone to type in English words and sentences for his mod if that's what he's trying to talk about?

Probably one of the UbiSoft forum childern who got lost and doesn't know where to find his mommy!

Stiebler 04-02-06 09:01 AM

I think everyone is being very unkind to one whose native language is evidently not English. We should encourage everyone to try to contribute.

The point is obvious - Werner1942 thinks that there is too much salesmanship of existing mods, and not enough collaboration on new mods.

Provided Werner1942 allows an exception for the brilliant NYGM mods, then I agree.

Stiebler.

CWorth 04-02-06 09:41 AM

I highly disagree..

I personally like to have choices in mods..So the more people making them the better the choice I have. Also it is nice to see others take on the same idea.

In any game I prefer to have many mods by many different people. This way I can change my mods around anytime I get bored looking at the same thing over and over again.

JCWolf 04-02-06 11:14 AM

I'm not beeing unkind , i just don't see how come someone that doesn't post here giving any kind of opinion or making an effort to change anything , says that we don't colaborate on the Mods in the "Town",... I could just say ok, but i don't think it's a big deal anyway what he said...

If i say to forum that the forum is a competitive forum, i also should point mi reazons to say something like that, as good or bad those reazons mite be...

I think it would be kind of rediculous from me( And no offence mented) to come here and in the first post say:

" Guys you don't colaborate as a team, this place it's anyone for himself."

Anyway, i'm sorry if someone could take mi humor the rong way, it was not suposed to go that way!

The problem is, he *hasn't* contributed, except for one obscure post suggesting that we are all self indulgent because we don't have ESP for whatever mod he wants help on creating!

Hmmm. Is this statement meant to be dry humour, or serious? Because if it is serious, then I couldn't disagree more. Looking beyond the Grey Wolves posts you'll see many examples of collaboration. Hemisent created the Thermal Layers mod, and he and I then worked together to efficiently bring it to the desktop of all users. gouldjg is working on randomising many aspects of gameplay, again, with me providing the tools and assistance necessary to facilitate.

Then there's Hemisent's sabotage mod, again, with input from myself, goudjg and others.

All will radically affect gameplay.

Look at JonZ's recognition manual. Lots of input there.

Then there's SH3Cmdr, which would not be what it is *without* all the collaboration and suggestions of users here!

In fact, all of the examples I have cited above have been posted here specifically for gaining input from *any* forum member.

Should I continue?

I think we can continue on and on, and it wouldn't make a diference JSC.

Like you said it, this guy come and post something maybe on purpose to creat a rush argument:..

I have to say I agree totally with JScones on this one. Regardless of the language difficulties. What we appear to have here is someone who has made the combined total of.....um one posts, a person who has to my knowledge contributed nothing to these forums. Complaining and rebuking us for not offering to help with a project that HE hasn't told us about. I think that about covers it...

....

Stiebler.

Right in the spot...

Beside I would add this...

Some people seem see/reads as critizism when someone points glitchs or something that was wrong addressed, something that could be "easily" solved/to enhance a particular mod/gameplay in general.

Unfortunatly I have to agree partially, with the message of original poster...

"community of a few for a few"

Where matters seem almost a secret/tabu discussing them, where certain matters cannot be reveled, mentioned either explained.

And a flame feast of this topic seem to prove that!

Anyway, opinions are always options and like any opinion it can be changed if there are enough motives for a change.
