Hurricats?

I'm just curious to see if anybody has thought of, tried, or is working on a way of incorperating Hurricats into SHIII.

A Hurricat for those of you who have no clue as to what I'm talking about was essentually the British's early solution to giving convoys aircover before escort carriers really became availible. A Hurricat simply consisted of a Hawker Hurricane MkI set onto a modified merchant vessel. The Merchant vessel had a catapult system with a rail that the Hurricane would sit on at the bow of the ship. Upon spotting a U-Boat, Fw 200 Condor, etc., etc. the Hurricane was launched off the ship by the catapult and be takeoff assistance rockets attached to the plane.

After the Hurricane had done its job it had no where to land so the pilot tried to ditch as close as possible to a ship of the convoy.

I believe that good 'ole Iambecomelife and friends have been working on that issue. Read through the New Ships sticky thread above.

Yep. From what I know, iambecomelife is practically done with this particular mod! :)

Yep. This was one of the WIP mods I nearly lost because of computer trouble a few days ago. Fortunately the files were saved and I'll have it available for download before I submit the other cargo ships I've been working on. Still some texturing issues with the hurricane. It looks respectable from a medium distance, but I want something that looks nice close up.
