SH3 commander v2.4 and GW or IUB1.03

After loading Grey Wolves or IUB . I get a message when trying to use SH3 Commander " cannot write to en_menu.txt file " .So I cannot use Commander with either of these programs . I read that Sh3 commander will be upgraded to V2.5 soon . Will this issue be addressed ? Would like to use CMDR 2.4 now if possible .

What am I doing wrong .

Anyone ,Please advise .

Thank You

Have used IUB in the past and am now running with GW but i've never had this one come up with Cmdr 2.4 or seen it reported...

My guess is something happened during your install of one of these three.

Sorry, but you may need to consider a new install

I had this problem - the en_menu.txt file has been made "read-only" somehow. Either make the file readable, or re-install SH3, which will accomplish the same thing.

I reinstalled several times to no avail . I also changed the file to readable .It keeps changing back .Thanks a lot for your reply .

Please read the SH3Cmdr FAQ file and come back if your problem is not solved. There is at least one FAQ that covers this exact issue.

Now, if your above post is stating that you have identified that the file is read only and you have removed the attribute but it keeps coming back, then make sure that you have rolled back SH3Cmdr *prior* to removing the attribute. That is, open SH3Cmdr, press the "Rollback SH3" button and exit again. Then remove the RO attribute and try launching SH3 again via SH3Cmdr.

Yup, me too although I think that now I'm getting radio traffic from both mods when an incident occurs ie commencement of hostilites with Britain.

I loaded SH3 Commander from an earlier download and it worked . I also added NYGM . Maybe this fixed it ?

Thanks for all the help .
