GW Bridge Point of View...

Love the mod but have a request for some knowlegable modder.

The default (1.04b and most other mods) have your Point of View in the conning tower at dead center while looking ahead.

In GW I notice the Point of View has been changed to the right side of the tower.

While realistic I prefer the view from the center of the tower...anyone know how to change it back? Hopefully its not "hardcoded" in one of the .dat files.

Thanks in advance.

Well mate i think you've got to change the cameras File in Data/librery to the default one , i'm realy not shore if it works with this mod, but if you whant to test it, just back up the actual
cameras file you're using and than paste there and overwrite it it the Stock one from SHIII, and try the game to test if it works!

This is the original one in case you need it:

Link Original cameras :

And this one is JSGME Ready:

Hope this will help you mate! :D
I think it will without problems... :D

To temporary fix it you hit the UZO and then back to the bridge view. That will center the view from the center of the tower.
But, it will only last as long as you don't do a complete clockwise search. then it goes off center again. Same goes for an anti-clockwise search too, only it goes off center in the other direction. A couple turns more and you get even more off center.
At least on my sub. :hmm:

Well i'm using the one above from SH ### stock game and it works normal and as it was before the Mod install, you can use the JSGME Mod enabler version that i've posted there and if you don't like it desabel it after with the JSGME also... :D

It's easy! :yep:

Way to go jcwolf - my latest hero around here

I was getting this little graphical problem using GW and it was driving me crazy:

But I D/L'ed your JSGME version of the fix above and just tested it on my Type IXB in Grey Wolves, and no more see-through watch crewmen.

I won't really miss that guy in the picture - he was seriously creeping me out up there on the bridge.

I've got a little camera work to do for our update. I'm pretty sure that this is just a side effect of the binocular magnification level being too high.

Its on my list. ;)

I shall try the default (or another mod) "camera.dat"... thanks for the tip.

What is new about the GW camera.dat file that makes it better?

Just that gives you a litlle more move freedom, and focus prespective, but also changes the spot where you're positioned at the screen and game, not a big diference really!

If you play with the option " No external view", like me for example it doesn't really gives you to much relevant diference...
