I too have built that absolutely fantastic model. The 1/72 scale really shows the details. I thought out of the box it was fine, I just added my own paint details. I made mine the U-96 as well. I used the decals for the display stand for U-69, just cut the 6 and 9 apart from the other and reversed them. Your model makes mine look like an amature creation. Very nice.
