While we save $$ for SBPRO...

What are you playing for fun?
I've been spending some time with :
StarWars Battlefront II,online and in SP.Its a coin toss to me if its really better then SWBF #1..The game play is a lot faster but the lag*even with DSL* is far more of a prob in #2.

Gave Doom3 away.

Still playing SH3 in MP.

SH2/DC once a month in MP.

PE SE,just to kill a few tanks till I save anuff bucks to get SBPro.

With 39 summers, interest in computer games is fading out over here. Currently I only play a round of Deer hunter 2005 occasionally, and Steel Panthers Main Battle Tank regulary. Former interests in flight simming became tired months ago, and after the massive dissappointment over Falcon 4 Allied Force (far too buggy in SP, with several real showstoppers, and too many setbacks compared to free mod versions) my interest in F4 probaly also never will fully recover. IL-2: haven't touched it since months. Sub Command, Dangerous Waters, silent hunter 3: well, maybe I try a last time in 2007, when they have brought out their next patch. If the game then got freed of this ridiculous sub maneuvering, I maybe will go with it again. The other two: on ice.

On the other hand, my interest in chess has risen from the dead again, and constantly climbing. It was put into a grave almost 20 years ago, when all this computer game stuff had started.

So my answer to the question:

Steel Beasts Pro
Steel Panthers MBT
Chess
Deer Hunter 2005

I was disapointed in Battlefront II. They should have kept things the same for the most part and just polished the edges. Since when do the AT AT's shoot green laser blasts? :88)

As I await my copy of SB Pro PE to arrive, I play BF2 (better after 1.21's release) and Rome Total War along with Barbarian Invasion. I'm also looking forward to next weeks release of Red Orchestra Ostfront 41-45.

That about covers it for me. I used to play a lot of SH3 and T-72 BoF, though neither are installed on my HDD any longer.

I've been passing the time playing in PhotoShop designing new KaptKirk signature images. :-j

kaptkirkU4467: what's the movie your sig is from? I thought it was Big Red One for a minute but they used Shermans and those are M48/60's?

3Star 03-14-06 12:16 AM

Those are Spanish M48s from the movie Patton.

No doubt because you're lucky enough to have a copy of SB Pro PE already. :)

SB Pro PE is currently taking up most of my spare time, what little I have anyway. It's such a challenge and I'm having so much fun with it that I can see myself playing this sim almost exclusively for a long while to come. Very impressive product, period.

Highly recommended!

kaptkirkU4467 04-01-06 07:21 AM

Well if it would stay up,its from Patton.
