Removed all User accounts with .ru e-mail
 

Due to the numerous spambots in the database, the DBA has cleared out 674 users with email@mail.ru in their e-mail. It is thought that 99% of these were not real people, just spambots.

If you are a real person from Russia, please accept our apologies and re-sign up.

Is this related to the "Advertisements" that have been showing up recently on the "World Naval News"? (Latest being from GoGamer.com?

No, that's legit advertising. Long answer: As you may have heard, my long time affiliate for selling games, Chips and Bits, has cratered. They haven't paid me since last year and their affiliate program was suspended (without telling anyone). So I had to switch all the game store links to Amazon and Go Gamer, and they only pay 5% commission, as opposed to Chips' 12% rate (before Chips went under). So that source of funding just got cut in half :cry: and I decided to add an occasional text link on the front page. I added the disclaimer (Advertisement).
