New Kid Here

Howdy damen und herr (my German stinks horribly lol)!

I've been lurking (no pun intended) here for a while now, and finally decided to join. I haven't gotten SH3 yet (in the process of manipulating my dad ;)). I really like the look of this game, and I am reading just about every single thread there is so that I don't end up asking newb questions once I get it (I will seem a bit newbish at start...this is going to be my first submarine simulation game, so please bear with me). I'm mainly an English speaker, but with the assistance of Google Translator, I can turn my horrid German skills into something understandable...

IRL, I'm 16 years old, and a high school sophomore. I'd like to be an engineer when I'm older. I'm a Jew, and yes, I do know a few Jewish jokes. :) Um, what else...into Sci-Fi too, so if I start talking about Star Trek, don't be alarmed. :D When I was 13, mom caught me trying to submit a membership request to Gudmundur Helgason's website (I still don't hear the end of that one lol)...well, if you'd like to know anything else, just ask on IM or PM, so kudos, and I hope to count myself as a Kaleun very soon!

Mazel Tov,

Jeremiah

Show your dad what this game is all about, and you'll have it in no time! Of course, you'll be then on to a new fight, that is competing for playing time with him! And of course, your homework will suffer.

LOL My dad's a college professor, he has too much on his hands anyway. :P

But you got a point...still, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy," no?

Thanks a bunch for the warm welcome, and I hope I don't sound too newbish once I get it.

Regards,

Jeremiah

Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you, Avon. :P LOL

But hey, I figure, once dad's sufficiently manipulated, buttered, and suckered up to, it'll take a few days to get it, then...

Aufmerksamkeit alle Hände: wir haben gerade ein tonner 10.000 gesunken! Onkel Karl ist glücklich!Aufladung!

My God Salinger, you spell and write better than 95% of the college grads I've met in my lifetime! Good for you

And welcome aboard too.

JSalinger 03-07-06 11:18 PM

I try, Kapitan. :)

Btw, I need some ideas on where to get my copy: where is it cheap (okay, not cheap, but not $60 USD) to get? For the life of me, I can't find a good price!`
