Mod requests
 

Hi guys,

since I am more of the "plug and play" type I am going to put some of my complaints here and hope that someone might be willing enough to do something about it by creating even more mods (obviously the original developer is not really coming up with anything !) You guys are doing incredible jobs!!!! :up:

1. The patrol aircraft usually show up in pairs, sometimes in whole squadrons. That, imho is totally unrealistic.

2. I put a lot of renown into torpedoes at the beginning of a mission. My boat gets damaged before I reach my area so I have to return and get a new paint job. After that all my torps are gone and with it my valuable renown. ANNOYING!!!! Understandable if your tubes get damaged but not if it's only the tower or the paint.

3. The torp loadout in the harbour is always the same, even though it changed during the course of the war. ( i have some examples, let me know if you are interested!!!)Commanders had various choices for loadouts at different times of the war.

Funny things: I lost my LI on my type IX c: He just disappeared but the crew list still shows 5/5 and I can't add another one!!! So I keep on fighting with just four officers!!!
You can't man the guns in certain seastates but you can always reload torpedoes from outside to inside in any kind of weather!!

What programs would I need iot start my own (probably futile) attempts) of modding some things. For example what do I need to open .tga or other program files??

You need to get Wolfie's tweak pack. It lets you choose the starting torp loadout for any sub during any year.

Perhaps SHIII commander can get you back your missing crew? In any case, All the mods you seek are already widely available.

i had a problem with a type IXC on my last campaign that was so annoying i abandoned it and satarted over. :damn:

I went to reload from external stores to internal stores and the topedo screen started flickering, then the external spot became greyed out as if there was nothing in it at all without loading my internal storage. I reloaded from a previous save point and it happened again in a different torp location, restarting the mission did not help either as it happened again.

I like IUB.Torp. Loadout uses no renoun.IMO.must have mod.(whole squadrons. )Alarm-alarm-dive-dive!
