performance loss in heavy weather.
 
Since im using IuB, I experience performance loss on Heavy weather. Something I did not have before using that mod.

I think it have to do with the integrated 16km view distance.

If it the reason, what tweak available with the exception of Video Settings we can do to reduce the slow down?

Go into your SIM cfg file and under "[Mech]"

change the wave settings to this....

Waves amplitude=0.4 ;[0,1]
Waves attenuation=0.02 ;>=0

It reduces the amount of whitecaps that must be rendered and tracked by your PC and also in my opinion produces more realistic water movement and wave effects.

This is not related to the larger waves mod.

I can't remember for sure, but I believe the above was a discovery made by either CB or CWorth.

Using the 16km mod in general produces a good deal of extra work for your system to perform and the FPS takes a hit.
