Another question

I find it a bit strange when I start a career that my rank is only LtZs and not ObltZS as most uboat commanders where of that rank or above when taking command of a uboat. Anyway of changing your rank when you start the game also is there anyway to change your awards as a lot of skippers had previously served as watch officers on other boats and had been highly decorated with atleast the uboat war badge and IC 2nd class one even had the knights cross (Teddy Suhren) so I was wondering also can you change your starting awards as well ?

I have been trying to figure out exactly how to do this can anybody point me in the right direction please ? I have been stuffing around with the menu all night but to no avail still comming upp at LtZs at the start tried both SH commander and the Sh menu's so i'm a bit stuck can anybody help ?

In the basic.cfg you'll find something with rank1, rank2 etc.
Try setting rank2 to 0 points renown (rank 1 already is), perhaps that will work (don't know for sure, just a guess).
Oh, be sure to make a backup-copy of basic.cfg first;)
