SUBSIM Radio Room Forums - Finally, My 1st Large Convoy!!

Installed IUB 1.02 last week and never really got a chance to play my career, so today I got the chance. On my way to my patrol grid, I ran into alot of tug boats. While I was in my patrol grid, more tug boats. So I figured I was going to have to get "More Aggressive" I decided to head to the English Channel. On the way there I spotted a V&W Destroyer, it didn't even see my eel coming. It was a great explosion, loads of flying men. When I got to the English Channel, there was a Large Convoy headed right towards me. It was only protected by 2 Flower Corvettes and 2 Black Swan Frigates. I sunk 2 C3's and I knew the Frigates would be on me, so I got ready. Sure enough they both started heading in my direction. I let them get about 900 meters away and BOOM, sunk them both. While waiting for the Corvettes to start their chase, I sunk another 2 C3's. With 2 eel's left and still waiting for the Corvettes. I noticed the one was far away and the other was getting closer. I decided to shoot both eel's at the Corvette and get back to Lorient. The 1st eel missed, but the 2nd didn't and it sank. While heading back to Lorient, I had one hell of smile on my face.

I sunk 8 ships, 4 Merchants/4 Warships. Not much for tonnage, only 25000+ but I didn't DIE!!
