Error from launching with the default "shell2.exe"
 

I get this error with the default "shell2.exe" when launching the sim.
I can use shell2.exe and I can run the sim starting at a different menue.

Error -1 [QuickTime Media Layer initialization failure]
DirectX code: "Unrecognized error: 0xffffffff"

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

From the looks of that error it appears that you need to install Quicktime.
