How do I put one on my ship?

Go to the folder below:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Emblems\SubEmbl ems

You should see a number of tga's. Just create whatever you want and make sure it has 64x64 dimensions. Give it a name and it will appear as an available emblem ingame when you've sunk enough tonnage to qualify for the personal emblem reward.

How much tonnage do I need to get to get that option?

Well I just got the option, and all I see is 1st flotilla. I made a custom one and put it in the right place, but I don't see it in the list. I dont see any of the emblems in the main SubEmblems folder. Only the 1st Flotilla one.

Also, I already added the 1st flotilla emblem. Can I change it or am I stuck with it?

The first emblem option you get is the flotilla one. Several patrols later you will get the option for the rest of them, and you can change emblems then.
