Hello, I am starting out and game has loaded fine: Do I have to complete naval acadamy before being allowed to join a career or mission.
I note that when the game trys to load a mission it only loads to about 9/10 and then stops.
I have yet to complete the acadamy training

As Steed said, you get 1000 more renown at the start of your career(s).

Thanks for replies, seems I have a gave loading problem, as I said the missions and career options only load to about 9/10 and I cannot access them.
Would you suggest a reinstal?

I got 1500. It also helps you get a feel for what you're doing.

On route to the reinstal, I was given a "repair option" (WindowsXP) I selected this and this option ran for around 20 mins.

After which the above problem had gone, so this may be an option for others who encounter the same prob with game loading.

So off to learn about sea manoevers.

consider yourself lucky! I had to reinstall 3 times because this was the first DVD based game I had ever used and I found out after the second install that my DVD must have been english made because it didn't work. :damn:
