A Good Read
THE U-BOAT OFFENSIVE 1914-1945
by V.E. Tarrant Just finished very interesting full of tables, charts and statistical information a good read   |
I have that book as well, it is an excellent general overview of the conflict. The charts are well laid out and easy to understand given the scope of the book.
My interests however lean more towards the technical side of things, if you're interested in the various designs and their evolution grab Rossler's "The U-Boat" which covers the same time period as Tarrant's book but dives right into the standard types, oddities and "what if" designs. |
Only ones Ive read so far are:
Iron Coffins Das Boot U-boat Killer All good reads IMO. Would like to dive into Hitlers U-boat War at some point. I would like to find some more books buy guys that were there. I like the first hand accounts. |
