The bulk carrier made its own way to port however the Ece was badly damaged and has sunk.
All crew were successfully rescued via helo and lifeboat.
There are fears that the phosporic acid tanks on the Ece may rupture (although French divers claim they were unruptured at the time of sinking) but the main talking head reckons there won't be any major environmental damage....naturally Greenpeace reckons otherwise.
Latest news is, however, that the engine fuel oil is leaking from the wreck.
