SH3
Anyone want to buy my copy of SH3? I'm thinking that I don't want SF loaded on my machine again after I reloaded media center 2k5 on it. The idead of a virus that slips past the AV flashing my BIOS or anything else in my machine is not worth it. Most people don't realize that you will be buying new hardware to replace a mishap like that.
-S PS. Its time to go modern anyway with DW!!! |
or download SF removal tool

I can't openly tell you SF is going to cause you problems, on some systems it has very few effects while on others it is sometimes called a "Virus." I will say in my expieriance it is best to have a modern machine that has all updates and drivers upgrades to all your firewire equipment and to be running windows XP Pro or Home as other windows OS's have crashed.
If you do a complete update and are running XP with all hotfixes installed, have a software firewall then your risk lowers quite a lot. |
I have had no problems with it.

Drebbel made a thread about SF a short while ago.
There has been a indipendant company investigation into SF, and they found NO hidden root kits etc... The thread is in general topics... |

I have had no problems either - and I had two burners in the computer on which I ran SH3. My 5.25" floppy has not worked properly since, but it's probably just worn out.

THe problem is not if you have had problems with it, but that it is a complete security risk of your entire system - so severe that an infection may not be a case of simply reloading your OS, but complete hardware failure that would result in the need to either 'pay' to have it fixed (Since it would not be a warranty item), or the purchase of new hardware.
SF is getting more ugly the more I understand it. -S |
