Anyone figure out how to adjust the random wind?

Has anyone figured out how the adjust the random wind so its not 15 winds all the time?

For example it would be nice if you could ajust the wind so that it varies in the lower speeds more (from 0 to say 8 or 9 knots)and not always at 15.

If not, i have a file that is.. ermm...... shady. Its shady in that it removes wind changes (and ONLY the wind changes, rain is left alone), so if you start a patrol and the campaign files set the starting wind values to 7, it will stay 7 winds the entire time of your patrol.

In my opinion, this is lame, but, 15 winds all the time can be annoying. Honestly i hate admitting ive created such a file. :nope:

I think that only is possible adjust the probability of change of the wind intensity, and direction.

Perhaps the speed of the wind is harcoded.

There are some discussions about this and the possibility of change the weather patterns in a campaign.

with low randomization you can have a weeks of storms or calm waters :nope: :shifty:

with a high randomization you will never boored , it can change in hours and its a more challenge.

Hmmm, i suppose a high (fast) randomization interval is probably the better way to go. If wind values are hardcoded it might be the only solution. My worry is making weather shift too often, and yet, not often enough. Theres a happy point in the numbers here i beleive.

yes , it.s question of try different settings until find one that fits well. :yep:

i discovered this playing the single missions, a lot of they use different sets of weather values
