Reported as dead after 1st successful patrol (Iub 1.2)
 

Hello all,

I have this problem, I think it's a known bug related to save on the first patrol but search on the forum doesn't help.

I started a career in Kiel, 1939, and finished my first patrol.
When I come back, everything is fine, I can give medals etc. but I am reported as dead in the save.
If I start patrol2, I can save, no problem, but the carrer still shows my first patrol, reported as dead!
Both problem occur when I want to load my saved career.

Is there any workaround? I don't mind changing files or anything.

As the title suggests, I'm using IUb 1.2 on SH3 EMEA 1.4b

[Edit] I'm under windows XP, so it is not the Win98 problem

I've heard stories, but I've never had anything like that happen to me...yet.

I'm sure I'll be whining and screaming if and when it does, but in the meantime I'm sorry I can't help.

Tahrn80 I am running IUb and have not seen that error yet but I have added the mod enabler and SH3 Commander also - wonder if small chance Commander mod addresses the issue?

Otherwise I with Sailor Steve...

Well, I can try to start another career. My first patrol was pretty good, but well...
I tried on my own to edit files and such, and got nothing better than no change or CTD.

If it doesn't work, I will try to add SH3 Commander, I did not know they were compatible.

Kaleun Tahrn80 you still might want to give oRGy a private message about this issue - he is the IUb master/creator....

otherwise thanks only wish I could say edit file X or Y to fix this problem...

In case anybody is interested or has the same problem, I started a new career, same bug.

I deleted my profile and created a new one:

Hurra! When I came back to base after my first patrol, I'm still counted among the living.

[OT] My patrol reminded me of the film Below: I targeted an hospital ship on purpose, and discovered that it was an English auxilary cruiser. Both silouhettes are exactly the same. Funny... [/OT]

As for targeting hospital ships guess that is a personal call....

I don't have to show any mercy to a game that just killed my first game after monthes :arrgh!:
