Changing bases during career
 

yea i started in 1939 in a IIA now in a VIIB its august 1940 forsome really odd reason it says new base : brest , and it doesnt change me and for some weird reason onthe map only lorient shows up and brest and st.naziere r gone!

That happened to me when my base changed. Just sail into where Brest should be (zoom in, you see that the base is there) and dock. You'll start your next patrol there and everything will be normal.

i want to go to st. naziere how can i do that

Once you do make it into Brest, request a transfer to a flotilla that's at St. Naziere.

wut r the flotillas that r in st. naziere ?

it only says 1st flotilla or 7th flotilla

You have to wait until the second flotilla becomes available. So, you will be operating out of Brest for at least one patrol.

I have the base wilhelmshaven , july of 1940, and there are some new bases in france.

what is the best way to change the base to france ??

requesting a change while i´m docked in wihelmshaven ???

or sailing to france , dock and request a change ???

for some really odd reason i got transferred to brest when i wuz in wilhelmshaven i am in september 1940 , when u get to brestdo acouple of patrols and he go to 2nd flotilla ( st . nazaire)

It's not odd. Once the Biscay bases were acquired and readied, the majority of the boats were transfered there from the Baltic and the North Sea in an effort to apply additional pressure to the Atlantic sea lanes. The game reflects this reality. Should you survive long enough, you will eventually find yourself being transfered back to Wilhelmshaven or Kiel as the Allies invade France.

o ok thats cool ill jus play some more patrols but i wont get on to play sh3 until feb. 6 because i have exams

Yes, it's a bug that will fix itself in Sept '40, same thing happened to me so I just went into Lorient and re-armed, sank a few mercs and within a couple of weeks (game time) Brest magically appeared... all normal after that.

I even got transferred to Bergen from Lorient (at least it said so when I loaded the saved patrol). I never was to find out later on since my career was finished by a Sunderland north of Scotland on my way to norway :dead:
