Ship Lighting/Sub Flags??

I think this subject has been brought up somewhere, not to sure...

Is ship lighting/navigation lighting able to be done or is a SDK required? That soughta goes along with flag/ensigns on Subs

Im actually hopeing something can be done in this area since where able to alter/introduce new ships etc into the game :)
