Ships sunk by storm?

Hello forum,

is it possible that a heavy storm can damage small surface ships so they sink? I've been out patrolling AM 51 recently in VERY bad weather and encountered a trawler. We were about to pass each other at maybe 3-4000m without detection when suddenly the poor bastard went down (I really, really had nothing to do with it!).

In this game they can.am playing the game with HT1.47 installed and I get a lot of pt boats especially in british costal waters running around on fire.

Ships sunk by storm?

I've once spotted an outbound tugbout on the Nort Atlantic in heavy weather. I followed her hoping she would lead me to a ship in distress (perhaps even a carrier). During the gale she develloped a list. I followed her for perhaps as much as three days - I got very curious what was going on. Although the weather cleard the third day, there was still a heavy sea. Slowly she took wave after wave and finally capsized...
(of course I didn't get the credits - but I would have picked up the crew, if only Ubisoft had allowed me...
