Question about Traffic routes

I cannot get myself to a long trip to the caribbean, cos im in january 1941 with a VII uboot based in Kiel, so i cannot check.

But i ask:

I do live in Venezuela. My country was the supplier of 40%+ of the fuel and oil to the allies in that war so... anyone who knows about the routes coded in game can tell me if there are lone tankers roaming by the seas departing from here? We got 2 tankers sunk by uboats on 1943 i think and we were "neutrals".

Plus i can research and supply some real historic info about the traffic on the caribbean to anyone who would want it to mod in the game ...if it isnt already in.

Oh yes indeedy (kind of), and if i had a grid map infrot of me i could point to you exactly where to wait for them :arrgh!:

THe port of corraco (just north of Venezuela ) is espeically attractive, but the area surrounding it is heavily patrolled. I beleive the only major convoy's in the carribean in 1943 go to and from this port.

Most of the tankers i ahve seen have been nice fat T2's with an occasional T3. Infact, better yet, get your grid map out, heres my patrol log, i frequented the area ALOT.

wow ... thats a fast reply

i can see u sail to the maracaibo lake EC96... its nice to see traffic there, i will embark to the caribbean as soon as i can get a transfer to lorient or a french port. To torp my own country is an odd feeling :arrgh!:

At that time the companies producing oil here were foreign, we were the 2nd country in the world messing the sky pumping it with black gold :P about 1-2 months after USA so its pretty correct the tankers over in there, do u remember their nationalities?. Most shipping there was from panama, usa and holland(err holland? dunno this source is kinda confusing). And that Sommers u sunk was not ours, neither the Catalinas shot down, thats what im sure... i can explain the sommers but its kinda weird those Catalinas on Venezuela´s airspace.

Thx for ur reply now i know i wont be alone there :arrgh!:

Edit: oops researched a bit... we have signed atm a treaty giving free air transit ...that explains the catalinas :P

Oh yes but it's worth the risk I think ! what is it 11 trankers in the harbout of Corraco? and a couple of C2.
I think 11 tankers sitting pritty protected by a Clemson and an armed trawler is worth the risk going down there. where else are you going to find 11 tankers together ?
