Lets pretend lol
Ok lets pretend that a blackswan friggin frigit shot ur bridge to hell for the second time in one patrol ( not that it happened and if it did i will deny it lol) and the periscope said cheerz i am outa here, now for my question how do i target a ship in battle without surfacing the boat and without a periscope????????
|
Sound. But its tricky and takes a lot of practice. I've only been able to do it on slow single merchants
See greyriders sound tutorial. |
will go and have a look thanx

Well, you can always try night surface attacks using the UZO.
|
Is the "O"scope distroyed also? :sunny:
|
Did you try the observation scope? (Never used it, but you could probably do more than observing ships...)
|
well it says that the bridge is destroyed, and if i press f3 or o it is a black screen coz i cant raise it up so i would think that it is dead i think
|
I'd break out the apple juice and head for home. If you can't sink 'em with the deck gun (provided you have one, and it's still serviceable), and you can't aim torpedos, it quickly turns into a 'cruise ship'. :yep:
|
:damn: i was afraid that it might be what i will have to do, well let me go plot a course home, and wont that be a drag as i cant afford to move at more that the slowest speed because i have to go through gibraltar to get back home...

Find a convoy
get in close at periscope depth (about 700ft) Set the TDC to aim at 0deg open all foward tubes when the first merchant ship is at 350 deg fire all tubes Your almost bound to hit a ship especialy if you have path following fish. I have used this tactic before when a destroyer caught me before i had finished my TDC calculations and i sunk 1 and dammaged another  |
cool didnt think of that and i have a whole torp bay full of noise seeking sharks, will have to try that thx.

RAM THEM. RAM THEM ALL.

Hey letum, good idea. I guess that could be referred to as "shooting from the hip" eh?
Let me make a note of this, just in case I find myself in the same situation. Or, I'll just try it out on one of my "start a career just to try out stuff" patrols. :yep: |
