Retail Version Questions

What version of DW is in the retail box? What is the suggested version I should be playing with? I used to play SCX extensively, so I'm not too shy to mod away.

Thx,
Matt

I just purchased the retail version of DW and can tell you it is version 1.02. 1.03 is out in a BETA version, but I understand it is still a bit buggy. I'm sticking with 1.02 until the official 1.03 is out. From what I hear, 1.03 will make a number of improvements (those using 1.03 can probably fill in the details better than I).

1.03b is the best version now, in my opinion, it corrects bugs that were in 1.02. :)

Really? You think it is worth going with 1.03b then and not waiting for the final release version? I am hesitant because I don't just want to exchange one set of bugs for another. :)

You can look over the 1.03b problems list (some thread on the forum, I don't expect it to have fallen too far down) and see for yourself.

Among them are the (unmodded) ffg speed problem, and the sub diving rates problem. Other than those, I cannot think of anything in particular.
