Formations

Is there any good reason to attach a playable platform to a formation of which it is not the leader?

If in a MP/Multi-platform SP game and player dosn't chose that platform the AI takes it so it acts like it should. Also you don't need to set the tactics of the playable since its already on the proper course as the rest of the fleet.
