W_Clear, is this a sound fix, or do you still need to be wright on top of
the sinking ship to hear it, or can you hear the ship sinking up to 800 meters from the sinking ship, like you could in SHII? as it going down. :o :o

W_Clear, now that i have down loaded it how do I install it ? cant find a readme file.

corvette k225 01-05-06 09:08 PM

just move it to your sound folder file you will see one in there and remove the old one and copy the new one in it. :D

But after extracing the file it comes up as a rar sound file, is that the one I should move in to the sound file ?

No, you have to uncompress it first. Get WinRAR or better yet 7z (just Google it).

I'am sorry yes Detritus is wright you need to uncompress it. The problem
with the sinking ship file with SHIII you need to be about 300 meters or less to hear the sound of the ship sinking and breaking up! in SHII, there
was a sound file that work so good you could hear a ship sinking and breaking as it goes down when your sub was around 850-1200 meters.
That is the how it should be, on the history channel there was a show about
the battle of the atlantic and some of the u-boat staff in the show said you
could hear ship sinking from a great distance around 800-2400 meters, and many ships at time going down! I'am not good with software, if I was
I would be working on the problem NOW! that was a hell of a good sound file in SHII, of a ship sinking and breaking up as it goes down to it's grave!!

Did that and it came up with a Wav audio file which when I click on it, just plays the sound.

Copy that wav file to data\sound, but first make a backup of the old P16_#oil_explosion.wav.

P16_#oil_explosion.wav. Copy it to some other place just in case you don´t like W_clear´s sound mod. You could then restore the original file.

Thanks Gizzmoe, don't know what a dumb a** like me would do without you guys.

corvette k225 01-06-06 08:30 AM

It works ok,BUT you still need to be 300 meters or less from the sinking
ship to hear the sound of the sinking ship going down!!!!

You should hear the sound 800-1200 meters from the sinking ships.
