OT: Virtual tour of U-9, a class 205mod submarine!

Have you ever asked yourself, how it might look in a real submarine? The virtual "sightseeing tour" contains more than 60 pictures and takes you aboard of U-9, a class 205mod submarine.
U-9 served from 1967 until 1993 in the Bundesmarine (German Navy) and is now on exhibition in the Museum of Technology in Speyer. (That's where I took all the photos ... ;) )

The tour starts here (German language only): www.space-port.de/dw/u9.html

New: thanks to "Geleitzug" (member of the official German SH3 forum), you can now take a look into U-9 (class 205 sub) on video!

He made the short film in summer 2005, when he visited the museum in Speyer. (2 minutes/8,4 MB/WMV)
It shows perfectly how cramped it was aboard this small types of submarines. Don't miss it!

The 205 class was later only used for target practice and test stuff. With the advent of the 206 and later 206A the 205 were decomissioned. And yep, compared to a Nuke they are pretty small, but then, you dont need that big a sub in the Baltic Sea (which the original OpArea for the boats was).
