Missing fifth Officer in crew management screen.
 

While in base looking at crew management screen I see 5 officers in crew numbers at top left side of screen but only 4 faces of the officers in sub cross-section.So I figure a config file is wrong somewhere,any indeeds Captains?
Other ranks are all present and accounted for.
Mods in use are IUBv1.02 and Sub Commander v2.3.0.52.

Most likely you encountered the 'missing repair crew bug'.
Was the officer is the repair crew section at the end of a patrol?
If that's it you will have to load the save before then to be able to have 5 officers again :-?

Hi. I have seen this too. I also had this one; After getting myself killed I restored the file containing "In port before mission". Now when at the "Crew-section" There was only 2 (TWO) officers left an the rest of the crew gone!!!! I had to build up a new (untrained) crew by going in & out of that menu until I got thre boat full again. On patrol now with green crew to train once more. :hmm:

Thanks for your help guys but rolling back to where the 5th officer shows up is to many patrols ago.I do now make a point of empting the repair section before docking and so far the problem has not reoccured with my 4 remaining officers.I can't dismiss the 5th officer in crew management because I can't click on him,but if Sub Commander introduces the dismiss option in crew management in a future release we would all be better off.

Thought about simply editing the latest "Crew_Career_x.cfg" file? Entries 1 to 12 are reserved for your officers. Simply find the officer in question and "reassign" him to the correct compartment.

Never tried this myself, but couldn't see why it wouldn't work.

I was able to fix it with Sub Commander,it suggested to release him to command his own boat,so now I have a new raw fifth officer.

Are you saying that SH3 takes care of this problem on it's own????

The bottom line I believe is do not leave officer and crew in the repair compartment when you dock.I was only able to fix the problem with Sub Commander because I had completed enough patrols to gain enough experience so the missing officer could command his own boat.Officer dismissed!
