The best luck Ive had to find a task force is the area between northern ireland and northern scotland, this makes sense since scapo flow was where the british home fleet was stationed. go around there and say hello to lord admiral tubby, only problem is shallow water. :hmm:

Large convoys down near Gibraltar and, as Todd293 says, in the AM52 AM53 area. Frequent convoys there.

My favourite spot is at AM69 (I think...) there's a 30km wide strait between Ireland and Scotland which a lot of convoys pass through. The water is fairly shallow around there, but in the right area I think it goes to at least 150m. Definatly a good spot until '43 at least

I found (or it found me) a large task force in the mid-Atlantic, 1942. I thought I was going to ambush a destroyer. Right.

Three battleships, a ton of escorts - at least ten ships coming on like a freight train.

I just happened to be in a perfect position and was unseen. I put four eels into a Nelson BB and had the delight of sinking her. Even more delighted to not be crushed by the escorts - who went ballistic over my rudeness.

They're out there - just be ready.

I'm having no problems finding task forces in '44-'45, the worst part is most of them are just 4-6 DD's and nothing else :-?
