USS Scorpion SSN 589
could she have been sunk by one of her own torpedos ?
or could the russians have sunk her ? russian ships and subs were in the immediate area that the scorpion was lost and also unidentified noises were also found near the scorpion before she went down ? what you think? |
I say one of the MK37 torpedo batteries exploded flooding the boat.

Ditto.
|
I also supect it was the dodgy Mk37.
|
I think it was a giant squid.

Didn't we have a thread on this a while back, someone had some good pics of the hull, and someone else was going to write a book about it. I'll have to try and dig through the archives when I get back from work. |
