Viewing in-game movies: Just sound but no picture? Why?
Sometimes when I download an in-game movie such as for LOMAC all I get is the sound being the game effects along with whatever background music the maker of the movie has chosen. My problem is that at times I get no picture at all. I try viewing the movies either via Winamp or MS Media Player. Can anyone help me out with a solution to this problem? At the moment it is just hit and miss in the sense I have to download them and then play them to see if I get the actual visuals in addition to the sound. Appreciate any advise as to how to resolve this problem. :yep:

I assume that by in-game you actually mean movies in formats like .avi or .wmv.
*** I would actually suggest avoiding too many codecs and codec packs - and instead going for a much nicer solution that is ffdshow: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...rs/ffdshow.cfm |

all you really need is as kiwi said, the AC3 and Xvid codecs and you should be all fine.
