I typed up a procedure for manual tdc operation. I have tested it only a few times, but it seems to be effective. Feel free to comment with suggestions for improvement. All you need is a stopwatch, no mods are required. I hope you find this usefull. Joe S
Manual attack procedures
1) set crew to attack
2) set tdc to manual (green button) set range
3) zoom map
4) click weapons officer
5) raise scope, lock on target
6) get target ID from crew
7) down scope
8) nav map
9) find target on map
10)use ruler to draw target course
11) OPTIONAL
use protractor to obtain aob to confirm you have the right target. Click on a point on the targets course, move to target and click, then move to your boat. Compass displays aob
12) get stopwatch ready
13)mark target,start the stopwatch
14) at about 50 seconds , raise scope, find target, lock
15down scope
16) nav map
17) mark target
18)calculate speed
19) set speed on tdc
20 set tdc to auto
21) maneuver into range and position
22) raise scope, lock target,
23)down scope
24)set aob based on memory of target image
23) check aob box on BOTH pages of notepad
24 fire
