request for info -- asdic/hydrophones
 

does anyone have specific info available re ww2 asdics/sonar/hydrophones used by rn and us escorts? specifically british hydrophones types 123,128,138,144; us active sonars and hydrophones QCE, QCL, and QGA. i've done extensive searching on the web, de220 and hmcs haida sites were helpful but lacking in specific info for the types available in game.

changing sensors to improve gameplay, starting off by using "historical" settings -- for further details, see the "destroyers discussion" thread, many people involved in testing/tweaking.

so, if anyone has any print material available or books w/ the info, i'd really appreciate it if you could post on this thread or pm me. thanks.

I have a copy of 'Seek and Strike, Sonar, anti-submrine warfare and the Royal Navy 1914-1954' by Willem Hackmann. It deals with mostly RN sonars/asdic sets. What do you want to know?
