A great wave of sadness has descended here with the loss of the much loved George Best.

Those of us priviledged to witness his genius, his sparkle and magic in live games, will never forget him.

Simply the best.

True. Not to mention that he had already had one liver transplant that had earlier saved his life. In effect Best had killed his own liver and then went about doing the same to a donar one.

But the fact remains that he was one of the greatest footballers ever and his battle with alchoholism wich is a disease, should not overshadow his tremendous sporting achievements and the years of joy and pleasure that he gave to football fans. May he rest in peace.

While we are at it: Richard Burns, rally legend and name-giver to the most realistic physcis engine any driving sim on PC has seen so far, has passed away, too.

isnt it quite amazing the british public has had politcians ramming the drink laws down our throats for the last 2 weeks worried about binge drinking and associated cost in health care and cleaning up after the violence involved but not one has come out to say this is what could happen to you if u drink too much bunch of hypocritical bastards :damn:
