I am at the stage that I will be setting the maximum number of torpedoes required to sink an escort. The numbers will be 2 or 3.

To clarify further, an escort may sink with 1 torpedo, however it may not. But I don't want it to take more than 3.

I am after feedback regarding the historical maximum known number of torpedoes to sink a class of escort that is included in SHIII.

I was hoping that a few may have some knowledge regarding the various escorts and would have some suggestions as to which escorts should be what.

FYI, If we set escort class Blah at 2 torpedoes, because of the random torpedo HP value there will be a small variation where it may take 3 torpedoes to sink escort class Blah. It would be rare, but...

SHIII Escorts
Fletcher Destroyer
Tribal Destroyer
V&W Destroyer
Type 34 Destroyer

Soldati Destroyer

Thanks in advance.

There was one British destroyer which had it's bow and stern blown off by two separate torpedoes and was still towed home. That, of course, was a lucky fluke.

In general no destroyer should survive two torpedoes. There's not enough compartments and no anti-torpedo protection. Usually one should be enough.
