Engine Trouble

At the moment when im travelling on the surface only one of my props is working. When im submerged its back to two. Anyone know why this is. I have a full crew in there and have no damage. Also, when i order ahead flank the engine takes a few tries to get going, like a busted chainsaw.

Only time I get single prop action is because I am recharging batteries while on surface.

I think I understand what you mean is that sometimes you order full or emergency speed and a bug that make you either go to compression or moving the telegraph speed up and down. That happens to me too sometimes.

:lurk:

What he said, but with a tip as well. To tell which mode your engines are in, click on your chief engineer/helmsman, then click the propulsion icon (the screw). The two left icons tell you whether you are in normal propulsion mode (the screw) or recharge mode (the battery). Whichever one is highlighted is the mode you are in. Normally, recharging batteries is a good thing, but if you need the extra speed (i.e. flanking a target) then switch it over to normal propulsion.
