IUb and reporting contacts
 

So far I am very pleased with IUb but one thing has been troubling me on my patrols - reporting contacts.

Not that I think I get too many or too few as another thread may reference.

My trouble is it seems I am unable to report to Bdu contacts I make with convoys.

I attack a convoy escape stay in hydrophone range surface keep visual contact and send a contact report but it never seems to get registered/recorded - the radio man reports message sent but even days later no acknowledgement from Bdu - lol wonder if the war is over in Dec 1940 and Bdu is out of operation?

I have repeated this in storms, at night and in day time on now the last 4 patrols - nothing new added except IUb patch 101 to 102.

any thoughts?

Probably stems back to the game not being able to incorporate "WolfPacks".
Remember in AOD....you would spot a Convoy ....and Report it. Next thing you know there are 3 other U-Boats in the area attacking with you. Since we can't create Wolfpacks.....(as far as i remember) sending reports is for our own amusement. :oops: ..........

Anyway that's my Take.....on it

I dunno if its related to IUb but seems to me before using RUb I did make reports - or at least they were recorded as being sent.

maybe an early war air raid knocked out BdU :hmm:
