I think it has been mentioned before, but i cant seem to have a clear answer.

I am in mid-43 and see a Greek ship, i check the greek port, they were blue.

I decided not to fire it in order to not to lose reknown but hell he fired back at me. :arrgh!:

Is greece neutral, allied or axis in SH3?

Greece is Allied. Even when the country is occupied by Gemany, Greek Merchants & Warships operated against the Axis powers. Remember If it shoots at you, Shoot back!

Works the same way for the Norwegians from April 1940 onward - all their cities will show blue when occupied by German forces, but any ships out there that are still flying the Norwegian flag will be doing so because they are aligned with the Norwegian government-in-exile and therefore count as enemy targets. I suppose the French ships will bounce back and forth over time, as once the Germans defeat France the Vichy French ships would probably still fly the regular French flag but would presumably be treated as neutral or perhaps friendly, at least until D-Day or so anyway -I think the list you get when you hit F1 shows those various dates when the French switch back and forth, IIRC. I've never encountered any French ships so far in 3 careers though, so I can't say for sure about them.

Good luck and good hunting!

Practically the Germans confiscated what ships they found in Greece, but most of the open sea merchant fleet was outside Greek ports and joined the allies,as most of the warships did ,since the Greek King formed goverment in exile in Egypt. Most ships that were under German control were smaller ones used for domestic waters transport and wooden boats used for fishing ("kaikia","trates" etc).
