Has any one had to patroll a grid for more then 24 hours

I have I was at grid AN 46 and I set a course around to last 24 hours and when I was done I looked at the mission orders and it said I didnt complete the objective. I ended up haveng to spend 3 extra hours(game time) in the grid before it said I completed that objective.

has any one else had this happen?

Quite a few times.

I suspect it depends on how close you sail to the borders of your PZ, compared with the accuracy of the map.

Get there in the end though.

Quite often. I do recall reading a post some time ago which I think explained this in part. It had something to do with in-game grid borders v graphical grid borders not being aligned. So I go straight to the centre of the grid and don't hang around the "edges" that often.

IIRC it was a good post too...can't find it now...
