Record Breaking VIIC 1941 Sub Survives 502 Meters

:) Today I was hosting a muliplayer mission version of the Sinking of the HMS Barham. One of the players said that he was taking minor damage but his U-boat was still at 100 percent hull strength. Then he said that he was being dragged down to the bottom at a faster rate than the U-boats normally go down after they are sunk. He was very very close to where one of the battleships had just sunk and looked to be manuvering under the wreck. He finally hit bottom at 502 meters. The U-boat was still intact and his crew was still healthy, no leaks or damage to repair. The crew was saying something about having to surrender. He tried to surface by blowing the tanks and using full engines. All he could do is manuever around on the bottom at 502 meters. I used external view and looked at him. There he was driving around on the bottom of the Mediterranen. Try and beat that one. What's the deepest depth you've been able to dive to and survive?????

depth

In a typc viic I was able to get down to 212 metres once - I was scared because in the past you would implode without warning. As I passed 180 I was as sure as dead - so I thought, but I was able to recover.
