Fire torpedo : key

Hi everybody

I see in commande.fr file the key to fire torpedo is CTRL+ENTER.

[Cmd313]
Name=Fire_torpedo
Ctxt=1
Key0=0xD,c,"CTRL+Enter"

How to change it to ENTER simply ?

Thank for help :)

When you start accidentally hitting the enter key, sending perfectly good torpedoes in no particular direction, remember this thread. :yep:

Search for "normal" in that file, and you fille find a normal time compression entry. It's great to add the keypad enter key to it, and just disable the keyboard shortcut for fire torpedo.

Thats weird. I thought it was just enter by default. In fact Im sure it was because I modded it to ctrl + enter.

Maybe a mod changed it ? I never noticed.

RuB changed it to CTRL+ENTER I believe...

I agree with The Avon Lady about not having "Enter" as firing option. Accidental firing is rediculous easy when that function is on "Enter".
And I have never felt that I have too much torpedos on patrol :roll:

Having Ctrl+Enter is more clever, because somtimes you maybe want to take a nice screenshot (or just watch) when a torpedo just goes off. This is not possible if you have disabled all keyboard functions for firing torpedos :up:

Hah !

I remember when the sim first came out some folks were physically popping off the Enter Key from their keypads LMAO. :P

You know you play too much SH3 when you start physically manipulating your keyboard.

I go with the CTRL+ENTER for firing and just ENTER for TC 1x. I think it's the best combo. I wouldn't go back to the stock config. As everyone said even one torpedo being fired because of it is too much. The ENTER key is just too hard to avoid (especially in a panic).

:lol:

I was doing a search, to find how to disable the Enter-key for firing torps (it's still like that in IUB1.02, appearantly...), and found this thread....I've re-installed SHIII, after many months of absence.

I used to stick something underneath the Enter-key, so it couldn't be pushed down, lol. :D

Anyway, thx for the tip.
