Krillers sun (new download!)

Hi, I have made a smaller sun, because I think the sun is to big after the atmospheremod (see screenshots)
EDIT
There was a fault in the last download which did that the mod don't work with JSGME, new working DL is up now

Markimov you are welcome to include this mod in a future release :)

Marhkimov 11-05-05 01:19 PM

aww, man... you're an hour late... ;)

i just released v2.0. It will be included in the future, though

So is this good for v2 of the atmosphere mod.

I need to use the 8km dark version.

Thanks anyway, I always hated the size of the Sun. Being in Manchester it is a rare occasion we see the Sun at all. It scares us :rotfl: :rotfl:

kriller2 11-05-05 01:29 PM

Yes I think it works with the 8 km. version, but I havent tried it, the sun will definately be smaller than SH3's default, you can try it and tell me how it looks?

This is for "Final release" :rotfl:

Just kidding marhkimov :P
Your work is awsome.

@kriller2
I haven't reflected so much about the sun. In fact I have to check, cos I can't remeber it looks as big as in your pic. Strange. :hmm:

And, im still tweaking on the visibility mod. Better nightvalues should update the environmental mod.
If you could PM me about your mergings in the sensors.dat I can release an update directly to you if you like

Nice work Kriller2

kriller2 11-05-05 04:20 PM

Attention if you installed this mod with JSGME please DL again (see top of this thread), I forgot to put the "data/" folder in front of "misc"...

kriller2 11-07-05 05:58 PM

By the way you can allso use this mod with the default SH3, if you think the sun is to big :sunny:

This thread is from November last year, Rapidshare downloads only last as long as peeps are using them. I asked about this mod in another thread an hour ago. If anyone has it and would be willing to email it to me could they drop me a pm

Off topic, but I can see you have anti-aliasing on, and a glowing sun. Oh how I wish I could have both. I can only have one or the other. :hulk:

kriller2 03-11-06 07:12 AM

Hi, I haven't been around this forum for long because I have been busy being a father to my little 6 month old son :yep: But it's great to see all the improvement being made on SH3, I will try some of the new mods, this forum rocks!

Thanx! waste gate  , the file was outdated, because of rapidshares restriction.

Trenken: are you running sh3 on a nvidia gfx-card?

i wonder if there is a way to place two suns in the sky. i'd like to take Killer's sun and place the normal one near it for a binary-star solar system. then i'd like to take the map editor (the new one) and create a new world with strange colored water and things. then i'd make an old science fiction come to life i once read, where an alien world took an old sunken earth sub and and its crew and brought them back to viability by using their alien technology, so that the crew could fight some war against their foes on some watery planet.
