Yes, yes, now that the final release has gone gold there is no reason to not make available the patch.

Anyone know what the ramifications are going to be with the new patch and the Lwami Mod?

I don't believe they (or anyone else that's sharing) has access to a DB importer. They'll have to redo all the stuff they've done to the DB by hand. A PITA to be sure, but not a show stopper.

LuftWolf 10-31-05 08:04 PM

We'll that's not entirely true.

If the database hasn't changed that much, we can simply use our database with a few modifications. Based on what Jamie has posted here, all that has been changed in the database from 1.01 to 1.02 is the thrust values for the sound vs speed, and we have already done that much more thoroughly and better than their "hotfix", so I'm hopeful that all we will have to do is remove our workarounds for the 1.01 bugs (like active sonar) and we can release right away.

That sounds great LW!

I hope not since 'a Kazillion' isn't a real number and thus would sell none! :P :-j

:sunny: A zillion's nice !

any official news abouth 1.02 patch? :shifty:
just wondering ...

Driftwood 11-02-05 10:28 AM

20 days left until it's "in the stores." With mfg and distribution times being what they are my guess would be that the patch is probably "ready" now. SCS may be holding it's release until the game is actually in the stores. Either way my expectation is that the longest we will have to wait is when DW is on the shelves. Anything sooner than that will be a nice surprise!
