Ping Volume

I once saw Jamie writing that you can adjust the ping volume in the DW ini file.
I did reduce .maxpinvolume to 25 but I dont notice a difference.
My problem is my tinnitus. On the other hand I cannot play without sound because you need the sound in the sonar screen (quickly identifying biologicals etc).
Is the maxpingvolume entry not taken into account? Or am I missing something? Would help me alot! Thanx

I would recommend finiteless sound mods, they make the pinging a bit easier to bear, and much better! :)

But I don't know about the .ini stuff, sorry... :-?
