NEW TYPE 2 SKINS
 

Hi all
This type 2a skin is based on U3.
I have used anumber of refernces for this skin, books pics uboat.net ect,
I took a colour sample (Hellgrau 50) from a site at uboat.net.
Hellgrau 50 was another common colour used on uboats,

Excellent! Do you have planes for any IXD-2 and XXI skins?

Now does anyone know what file contains the texture for the red and white hatch? For such a beautifully painted u-boat, the hatch makes it look dumb... :shifty:

Marhkimov, I believe that it isn't a hatch... but an emergency location device/ buoy sir. ;)

And in either case, that 'thing' sure does make the sub look stupid...

yes Seg.'s reflections fix is included in these skins.

yes I will be doing these skins, IXD-2 first then later XXI type.

Yes sir. :yep: It needed to be highly visible... visual S.O.S. for downed sub.

I wondered the same thing when I first saw one. :doh: They are still used on modern subs in one form or another.
