is there a fix for the broken boats?

I know the bugs with the ixd2 and the XXi are well documented, but is there a mod that fixes either of them? I figured the fine management of ubisoft ditched another 1/2 finished game on the market (we've never seen that before ;) ) so I thought maybe a modder has taken up the goal.

I heard they are fixed in the RUB mod but, I don't use it so can't say for sure.
