Problems with hydrophone
 

Sometimes, when I'm at the hydrophone, the sounds disappear, Both sounds of the contacts and engine sounds, during 2 or 3 seconds. Is it right ? Or is it a sound bug.

There is also a problem with crews at the hydrophone. He often lost the contacts. Is it a bug ?

I've RUB1.44. And no other sounds data.

Does this happen when the target is directly in front or behind, at almost 0 or 180 degrees, to your ship's heading?

Also, is your hydrophone operator experienced, eficient and qualified?

No this happen everywhere, but only when I've a contact.

The operator is not experienced (First mission).

This will make a difference. At what distance are the contacts?

Also, escorts sometimes shut down their engines to listen with their equipment. Is that what you're not hearing? I doubt it but it needs to be asked.

Both the sound of the contact and the engine sound of my Uboat disappear :huh: .

On the other hand, I hear the water environment sounds

I'm beginning to suspect your audio adapter or its settings.

What audio adapter do you have? Do you have the latest drivers for it installed?

Does the problem continue if you lower the audio adapter's HARDWARE ACCELERATION setting via Windows CONTROL PANEL?

My audio adapter : Sound Blaster Audigy 2.

But hasn't the problem on my first install before the last mods installed. I will try to réinstall the game without all the mods and install every mod one by one.

After many test with my mods, I've always the problem. During my last mission, It was happened at every contact. But this time, also without contact. I go to the Hydro and I have only the sounds of the sea environment. i dont hear the sound engine, and sometime it appear and disappear again.

It seem that the crew at the hydro lose contacts at the time. I say that because one time, I've lost the sounds and the crew don't found any contact tough a boat was at 2000 meters :x

Not a bug, me thinks.

The hydrophone may skip if you are at periscope depth while in a storm. Reason being that your boat occasionally breaks the waves, and the hydrophone temporarily becomes inactive.

No fret, just travel a little deeper than periscope depth. :up:

Ok, I haven't tried it at greater depth. Ok for the problem with contact sound.

But why my submarine engine sound disappear at the same time when I'm in hydro station ? For the same reason ?
